Maison Antica carefully packages and ships vintage, antique, collectible, and one-of-a-kind items from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Shipping Charges
Shipping charges are calculated using available shipping information, including:
- The packaged dimensions of the item;
- The total packaged weight;
- The quantity and combination of products ordered;
- The customer’s delivery address and destination;
- The available carrier and delivery service;
- Tracking, insurance, signature, and other selected services; and
- Any applicable carrier surcharges.
Where live shipping is available, the calculated shipping options and charges will be displayed during checkout after the customer enters a complete delivery address.
For orders containing multiple items, the system may combine items into one package or calculate multiple packages when necessary for safe transportation.
The customer must review and approve the shipping charge before completing the order.
Product and Package Measurements
Measurements shown in product descriptions describe the item itself unless expressly identified as shipping or package measurements.
Shipping charges are based on the expected packaged dimensions and weight, including the box, padding, protective materials, and other packaging necessary to transport the item safely.
The final parcel may be larger and heavier than the item because vintage, fragile, or irregularly shaped objects require additional protection.
Order Processing
Orders are ordinarily prepared for shipment within 1–3 business days after payment is successfully received and verified.
Processing may take longer for:
- Fragile, oversized, unusually shaped, or heavy items;
- Orders containing multiple products;
- Address or payment-verification issues;
- Severe weather or service interruptions; or
- Other circumstances beyond Maison Antica’s reasonable control.
Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays, and statutory holidays in Ontario.
Delivery Estimates
Delivery times displayed at checkout or provided by a carrier are estimates and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise.
Delivery time begins after the carrier accepts the parcel, not when the order is placed. Delays may result from weather, customs processing, carrier disruptions, remote destinations, incorrect addresses, or other circumstances outside Maison Antica’s reasonable control.
Nothing in this policy limits a customer’s mandatory delivery or cancellation rights under applicable consumer-protection legislation. Under Ontario law, specific cancellation rights may arise when goods are not delivered within the legally prescribed period after an agreed delivery date.
Tracking
When tracking is available, tracking information will be sent to the email address provided at checkout after the shipping label is created.
Tracking may take time to update after the parcel is transferred to the carrier. Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking and making reasonable arrangements to receive or collect their parcels.
Delivery Address
Customers must provide a complete and accurate delivery address during checkout.
Please contact Maison Antica immediately if an address correction is required. An address cannot ordinarily be changed after the order has been transferred to the carrier.
Maison Antica is not responsible for additional charges, delays, failed delivery, or loss caused by an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer, except where otherwise required by law.
Some shipping services may not deliver to post-office boxes. A street address may be required.
Safe Packaging
Maison Antica packages each order according to the item’s size, weight, material, fragility, and condition.
Recycled packaging may be used when clean, secure, and suitable for safe delivery. Multiple items may be shipped separately when separate packaging is reasonably necessary to protect them.
Shipping Damage
Customers must inspect their orders promptly after delivery.
Shipping damage must be reported within 48 hours after the carrier records delivery. The customer must provide the order number and clear photographs of:
- The damaged item;
- The exterior and interior packaging;
- The shipping label; and
- All protective and packing materials.
The item and all packaging must be retained while the claim is reviewed. Please see our Refund and Returns Policy for complete requirements.
Delayed or Lost Parcels
If tracking does not update or a parcel does not arrive within the expected timeframe, please contact Maison Antica.
Maison Antica may request a carrier investigation. A parcel will not be considered lost until the carrier completes its investigation or confirms the loss.
If a parcel is confirmed lost, Maison Antica will provide an appropriate remedy based on the circumstances, item availability, insurance coverage, and applicable law.
Refused and Unclaimed Parcels
Customers are responsible for monitoring delivery and collecting parcels held for pickup.
If a parcel is refused, unclaimed, or returned because of an incorrect address, the customer may be responsible for the original shipping charge, return charge, and any cost of reshipping, to the extent permitted by law.
Refunds are not automatically issued for refused or unclaimed parcels.
International Orders, Customs and Import Charges
International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, tariffs, and other charges imposed by the destination country.
Unless expressly collected during checkout, these amounts are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in Maison Antica’s product or shipping prices.
Maison Antica cannot control customs decisions, charges, inspections, or processing times. Customers are responsible for confirming whether an item may lawfully be imported into their destination country.
Order Cancellations
Cancellation may be requested before an order has been packaged, processed for shipment, or transferred to the carrier.
A cancellation is not confirmed until Maison Antica approves it in writing. Once shipping preparation has begun, the order cannot ordinarily be cancelled, subject to rights that cannot legally be waived.
